About DNP Fotolusio

Over 130 years experience

The Dai Nippon Printing Co. Ltd. (DNP) was established in 1876 and was an early pioneer as well as the first ever manufacturer & supplier of dye sub media.

Today DNP is officially the world’s largest comprehensive printing company, producing media for almost all of the major manufacturers of dye sub printers across the globe.

In 2006 DNP acquired the manufacturing subsidiaries of Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc., including their paper manufacturing plant in Odawara, Japan. Later that same year, DNP established the Fotolusio brand name.

In 2008 DNP launched the DS40 and DS80 instant digital photo printers under the Fotolusio banner, winning the DIMA digital printer shoot-out for print quality for an unrivalled three years in a row.

In spring 2010 DNP further acquired the intellectual copyright for the production of Sony’s dye sub media range and today DNP is also the exclusive supplier of Sony professional dye sub print media.
