WHAT IS A REFILLABLE INK CARTRIDGE?

A Refillable Ink Cartridge (RIC) is a cartridge that can be filled and re-filled over and over again with any ink of your choice e.g. sublimation inks. It functions just like a normal cartridge except when the printer detects that it's empty you can remove the cartridge, top it up with ink and re-install it as if it were a pre-filled cartridge, a much more cost effective and eco friendly solution than pre-filled cartridges!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Pre-filled cartridges are fitted with a single use chip that, once they show the cartridge is empty, the printer won’t function again until it either receives a new cartridge or the chip on the cartridge is reset thus fooling the printer into thinking it's a new cartridge.

Other RIC's have to be manually reset with a 'chip resetter' every time you fill up but Sublimugs RIC's are fitted with an Auto Reset Chip (ARC) that resets itself so you don't have to.
