The DS820's 8-inch width enables production of 8×10" and 8×12" portraits, full A4 prints, and square 8×8" formats — sizes that fall outside the capability of smaller 6-inch printers. It is perfectly suited to portrait studios and wedding photographers who regularly need these premium larger formats.
Panoramic output extends to 8×32" (20×80cm), beautifully covering wedding groups, sports teams, and landscape photography. Multiple panoramic lengths are supported — 8×18", 8×22", 8×26", and 8×32" — all using standard 8-inch media with no separate equipment required.
Glossy, Lustre, Fine Matte, and Matte are all available from the same media roll. The finish is chosen instantly through the driver or DNP Hot Folder Print software, with no physical media change required between prints — including a Pure Premium Digital media option for deeper blacks.
The DS820 prints an 8×10" in approximately 29.3 seconds using Pure Premium media. Improved heat dissipation supports consistent high-volume output across extended studio sessions. The printer ships with a 2-year warranty and connects via USB 2.0, measuring 322×366×170mm and weighing 14 kg.

The DS820 supports 4×8", 5×8", 6×8", 8×8", 8×10", 8×12", A5, A4, and panoramic sizes from 8×18" up to 8×32". When using A4-width media, additional formats of 21×13cm, 21×14.8cm, 21×20cm, and 21×25cm are also supported.
Standard media is DNP's regular dye-sublimation paper for the DS820. Pure Premium Digital is a higher-grade formulation with deeper black tones, increased optical density, and enhanced colour fidelity — suited to studios requiring gallery-quality output. Pure Premium media also enables slightly faster print speeds on the DS820. Both work with all four finish options.
