Mr Yigit runs one of the UK’s busiest wedding companies, Complete Wedding Solutions, a London- and Birmingham-based business specialising in Asian, Indian, and Turkish celebrations. The Mitsubishi Crisis of 2021
For years, Yigit relied on a fleet of Mitsubishi printers that seemed indestructible. But in 2021, that confidence was tested harder than ever before.
That autumn, the unthinkable happened. Mitsubishi’s media supply chain faltered, leaving photographers across the industry without the paper and ribbon they needed to keep their businesses running. For Yigit, the timing couldn’t have been worse — bookings were full, clients were waiting, and the printers stood silent.
“We experienced major supply issues with Mitsubishi media, which left us unable to fulfil printing packages as promised. Unfortunately, this resulted in significant financial losses, as we had to pay out compensation for not delivering prints included in our packages.”
The disruption went beyond one season. Weeks of downtime turned into months of uncertainty. Even once stock returned, the episode had shaken his trust — and the printers themselves began to show signs of strain.
“It makes you think twice,” he says. “You start realising how fragile your setup is when one part fails.”
The People Behind the Printers

The difference, he realised, wasn’t the printers. It was the people behind them.

By 2024, Yigit knew it was time to plan ahead. Mitsubishi had officially stopped manufacturing media for the CP9550DW, the model that had been the backbone of his business for years. Although he still had media in stock, he wanted to make the switch before supplies ran out.
“I’d already lived through that panic once,” he says. “This time, I wanted to plan properly. I decided to trade before my media was gone so I could move to something that would still be supported for years to come.”
