50,000 Passport Photos a day in 2022

In an increasingly interconnected world, the demand for passports and travel-related documents has never been higher. As we entered the year 2023, the United Kingdom witnessed a remarkable surge in passport applications and, consequently, a substantial need for passport photos. The HM Passport Office data for the annual total of passport applications for 2022* reveals that there were 8,355,287 million British passport applications. 

As visible on the chart, there is a clear raise in the monthly passport application intake volumes between 2022 and 2023. January 2023, specifically, received 533,185 more intakes than last year.
