From Birmingham to London – The Photography Show 2025 Was Unmissable!

This year marked an exciting milestone for The Photography & Video Show as it made its London debut at ExCeL, and what a show it was! As exhibitors, Photomart and Godox UK were thrilled to be part of such a dynamic event, connecting with photographers, videographers, and content creators from across the country.

From the moment the doors opened, the energy was electric. Our team was eager to meet both new and familiar faces in the industry. The London crowd welcomed us with enthusiasm, bringing fresh conversations, insightful questions, and a genuine passion for photography. While we truly enjoyed this new location, we also missed seeing our long-time friends from Birmingham, where the show had been hosted for many years.

One of the highlights of the event was meeting with Gildas Signorini, the International Direct Sales Manager of DNP Europe. Our discussions centred around the industry's greener future and DNP's proactive steps towards sustainability. Notably, DNP has initiated a significant shift by replacing plastic packaging materials with paper for their photo media products, including ink ribbons and printing paper. This change is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions from packaging materials by approximately 69%, equating to about 45 tons annually.

In line with these efforts, Photomart is proud to remind our community about our ongoing recycling scheme.

We encourage all customers to participate actively, ensuring used materials are disposed of responsibly and recycled appropriately.

Together, we can make a substantial impact on reducing our industry's environmental footprint.

Additionally, we had the opportunity to explore DNP's latest innovation - the DS820DX duplex printer.

This compact 8-inch printer offers both single and double-sided printing capabilities, supporting a variety of print sizes from 8×4" to 8×12". Its advanced features, such as vertical and horizontal cutting and a new crease mechanism, enable the creation of diverse products, including photo books, calendars, greeting cards, and brochures.

One thing was clear - despite the challenges of recent years, the photographic industry is thriving. The excitement on the show floor was a testament to the resilience and creativity of professionals and hobbyists alike. With the busy season just around the corner, it was inspiring to see so many people investing in their craft, exploring the latest technology, and preparing for a year full of opportunities.
