Forget the last-minute flower scramble! International Women's Day (IWD) is about more than just a rushed gesture. It's a day to celebrate the incredible women around the world, recognize the ongoing fight for equality, and honour the amazing women who shape our lives.
Do you know how International Women’s Day was established?
International Women's Day has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century and emerged from a confluence of social and political movements, including the fight for women's suffrage. The courageous suffragettes, like Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, were instrumental figures in this ongoing fight for gender equality.
The establishment of IWD is not attributed to a single event or individual. It arose from a series of discussions and actions within various social and political movements.

In a world driven by consumerism, Black Friday has become synonymous with massive sales, frenzied shopping, and overflowing waste. Originating in the 1960s, this post-Thanksgiving shopping extravaganza has evolved into a global phenomenon.
While the allure of irresistible deals is undeniable, it's crucial to consider the far-reaching environmental and social consequences of this consumeristic holiday.
At Photomart, we're taking a stand against Black Friday and advocating for a more sustainable approach to photography, one that aligns with our values of environmental stewardship and responsible business practices.
This year, we invite you to join us in saying NO to Black Friday's excesses and YES to a more sustainable approach. Together, we can make a difference by choosing eco-friendly products, reducing our consumption, and supporting businesses that prioritise environmental responsibility.
As September fades into the rear-view mirror, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact we achieved during our Inaugural Greentember campaign.
At Photomart, we embarked on a mission called "Greentember - Shop, Share, and Sustain: Uniting for a Better Future All September Long." Our commitment was simple yet profound: for each order over £100 placed in September, we pledged to plant a tree.
Today, we are proud to announce that we fulfilled our promise by planting 446 trees.
In addition to our on-going sustainability efforts, we want to emphasize the importance of these critical issues and inspire individuals and businesses alike to join us in our mission to create a greener, more sustainable future for our planet. Together, we can make a lasting difference for generations to come.
Here are some compelling reasons why it's crucial for businesses to prioritize sustainability:

At Photomart, we have been at the forefront of innovation within the photography industry since our establishment in 1992. Our unwavering commitment to providing cutting-edge products and services goes hand in hand with our strong focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility.
We are thrilled to introduce our innovative recycling scheme, designed to reduce waste and promote a circular economy. Through this program, we take back used dye-sublimation ribbons from our customers and, in return, provide them with £50 worth of credit. This initiative not only encourages responsible disposal of ribbons but also rewards our customers for their dedication to sustainability and helping the environment.
We are proud to share the remarkable success of our recycling scheme since its launch in November 2022. In just the past week, we have received over 100 ribbons from our customers, ma
Photomart is a company that knows how to have fun, and they proved it once again by having an exciting pancake making competition on Pancake Day! The event was a smashing success, and everyone had a great time participating and watching their colleagues’ flip pancakes.
The competition was held in the company's break room, which had been transformed into a makeshift kitchen with all the necessary equipment and ingredients laid out for the contestants. There were spatulas, mixing bowls, measuring cups, and of course, pancake batter and syrup. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone excited to show off their pancake-making skills.
Then it was time for the competition to begin. The contestants had 30 minutes to try make the best pancake, and flip it, without having it fall on the floor. The winner would be determined by the quality and look of their pancake and the quality of their flipping skills.

Since our founding, Photomart has always been proud to be a leader of innovation within the Photography industry. Since launching our very successful waste disposal scheme back in November 2022, we have had great successes in helping to combat climate change and do more for the environment, by stopping printer media being chucked away in any old bin.
We've now gone a step further and have put recycling efforts into place. All media now sent back to us, as part of our Recycling Scheme (Previously our Responsible Waste Disposal Scheme), will now be converted into clean energy, through catalytic conversion processes, in order to power turbines, where any extra energy will be exported back to the National Grid. Any leftover material will then be used as aggregate for roads and building foundations, ensuring nothing is sent to landfills.
Photomart are extremely proud to be the first Dye-Sublimation distributors in the UK
