Our Journey to a Greener Future: Partnering with Epping Forest Heritage Trust

As a company committed to sustainability, Photomart has been at the forefront of environmental initiatives.

In 2022, we launched our ground-breaking recycling scheme for dye-sub ribbons, a world-first program that has significantly reduced our environmental footprint. This initiative marked the beginning of our journey towards becoming a more eco-conscious business.

In 2023, we expanded our sustainability efforts by partnering with Tree-Nation to plant new trees. This initiative not only helped to offset our carbon footprint but also contributed to the restoration of vital ecosystems. As we continued to explore ways to reduce our environmental impact, we remained dedicated to making a positive difference.

As we celebrate our 32nd anniversary in 2024 and our 2nd annual Green-Tember, we are thrilled to announce our official partnership with the Epping Forest Heritage Trust. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our journey to becoming a more eco-conscious business.

Through our partnership with Epping Forest Heritage Trust, we are proud to contribute to the conservation of a beloved local landmark. While our headquarters are located in Enfield, many of our staff members have deep roots in the Chingford community, some of whom have lived in the area their entire lives.

This connection to the local community has fuelled our passion for Epping Forest and its preservation. We have long been committed to environmental causes, including tree-planting initiatives in regions around the world that need reforestation. However, we recognize that preserving existing forests is equally important as creating new ones.

By partnering with Epping Forest Heritage Trust, we can directly support the conservation of a vital green space in our local area. This collaboration allows us to make a tangible difference in the lives of future generations, ensuring that they can continue to enjoy the beauty and benefits of the Forest.

Epping Forest is not only a historical landmark and a popular tourist spot but also a crucial habitat for a diverse range of species. The forest provides essential homes for amphibians, ducks, swans, birds, moss, and lichen, among others. By preserving Epping Forest, we are protecting these valuable ecosystems and contributing to the overall health of our planet.

During our initial meeting with Amy Liu, the Marketing, Membership & Fundraising Manager of Epping Forest Heritage Trust, we had the opportunity to learn more about the forest and share our fond memories of exploring its trails.
